Valentine's Day Inspired Nails!

Hey there ladies!

I know, I know, it has been a good long while since I have posted anything on my blog. Once again, things have been so so busy!

First of all, I have started a new job and it's going really well. I feel so happy that I have finally moved on to another job after working in a food place for around 4 years!

Now, I work for a printing and graphics company, which is more along the lines of the type of career that I wanted to get in to. It's an apprenticeship. So, I was so happy that I got the position I even cried when I got the good news lol.

Second of all, my awesome cousin arrived here in the UK around a week ago. She's living here with me, so I have been hanging out with her and helping her get settled nicely here in England. She is as crazy as me, so we are more like sisters :)

She also has her own beauty blog, you can see that HERE and her BlogLovin' profile is HERE.

Anyways!

Back to the topic at hand...

Valentine's Day is coming up shortly, this Friday to be exact!
Do you ladies have any plans?

I decided to get my creative mind going and make a very simple, yet very cute valentine's day inspired nail art design.

This look is very simple, only using three different colours. You are more than welcome to use your own colours though. I used two tools to help me create the hearts and the XO letters. I used the dotting tool to make the heart shapes. And a thin detail brush to draw the XO letters.

To easily make the heart shapes with the dotting tool, all you need to do is make three dots and connect the up. Two dots in line next to each other and one dot further down. Almost like an outline of the important points of making a triangle.

The nail polishes I used were:
  • Sally Hansen Double Duty Base and Top Coat (base coat)
  • Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint - Shade: Blood Orange
  • Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint - Shade: Dragon
  • Collection 103 French White
  • Seche Vite Top Coat

And voila!
Very simple and very cute!
