January 2013 Glossybox

Hey there everyone!

It's that time again. Yipeeeee! The first Glossybox of 2013!

Because it's the beginning of the new year, this month's box was all about "Detox". So there are mostly skin care products to refresh our skin and make ourselves nice and refreshed for the start  of 2013!

I see they are now sticking to the A3 sized paper with the description of the products and more information about the theme of this month's box. As well as other information regarding news about Glossybox themselves. Rather than the cardboard card that they used before, they are using this method now. Which is not all bad, it allows more information to be spread out for us subscribers. No harm in that ;)

In this month's box, we got the usual 5 products and got a little something extra ;)

Here we go! :D

Eco-Boutique
Body Lotion with Aloe Leaf and Green Tea (30ml)

Price: Only available within a gift set priced at £8.50

This is a cute little sample. I have just tried some on my hand and I quiet like it because the texture of the cream is really light and it absorbs so quickly into the skin leaving it feel really soft. And it smells just like what it says, of Green Tea and Aloe Leaf! Healthy smell then lol. Green tea is always good so I think this is a  good product.

Monu
Micro Exfoliant (30ml)

Price: £14.50 per 100ml

This is a brand I have never heard of. But it sounds good for the skin by reading the description of this product. Claims to reduce the appearance of pores and fine lines. I also have not tried out a micro exfoliant before. So I should stop being lazy and try this out.

Murad
Hydro Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes (3.5ml)

Price: £57 (for Full Size of 15ml)

Yikes! The price is pretty hectic for the full size. This product should come in handy for me though, because I do get dry skin by my eyes at times. Especially in my inner corners, which is very annoying because it looks even more dry when wearing eye shadow on there. So, I'm not sure if it's because my eye area is not getting enough moisture or maybe it's just my skin. But it's okay now and I have started using an eye cream.

BM Beauty
Dewy Perfection Finishing Powder (1g)

Price: £8 (4g)
If I am not mistaken, I think this product has come in one of the previous month's Glossybox. I will need to check. If I'm right then this would be the second time that Glossybox has given a duplicate product. Hmm, not good Glossybox!
But anyways, I might just give it to someone. Have not tried it yet though, I always seem to forget what I have lol.

Sanctuary Spa
Active Reverse Thermal Transformation Mask
(Step 1 - 3.5ml and Step 2 - 7ml)

Price: Full Size - £27.50 Step 1 50ml and Step 2 - 74ml

I bath every night so, I always have the chance to use a mask and relax in the bath with it on. But I still need to get into that indulging regime. Step 1 is the Serum and Step 2 is the Clay Mask.

And this is the extra product that Glossybox put in our boxes. This is soooo cute! I love it. I don't usually use these kind of things when going to sleep. But I love this extra touch that Glossybox put in for us. Really pretty! :)

Overall, I like this month's box. It's a sign for me to get more into skin care and stop being so lazy with it :)
What did you get in your Glossybox or what beauty boxes are you subscribed to???

Keep well everyone!
Have a good weekend :D

  4. It’s nice to know that you’re now giving importance to your skin care regimen. You should definitely not overlook taking care of the skin, even if you’re not experiencing acne or other skin problems. Start caring for your skin before it’s too late. Anyway, I’d love to know if those products produce good results on your skin. -Terry Bayer
